Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the VaultedTCG mobile application and the website at vaultedtcg.io (collectively, the “App,” “Service”). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using VaultedTCG, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

VaultedTCG is an iOS application and accompanying web property that helps trading card vendors and collectors track inventory, log sales, browse a card catalog, identify cards via image recognition, view live market pricing and graded values, and analyze profitability. Current features include manual inventory entry, sales logging, CSV import/export, photo-based card recognition through a third-party service, and live market and graded-value pricing through third-party data providers. The Service is not a marketplace, does not process payments between users, and does not facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use VaultedTCG. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the App on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, VaultedTCG grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use the App on iOS devices you own or control, for your personal or internal business use. This license does not include any right to:

• Sell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise transfer the App or any rights in it;
• Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App;
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks contained in the App;
• Redistribute, republish, or share TestFlight beta builds or invitation links without express written permission;
• Use the VaultedTCG name, logo, or any confusingly similar designation in connection with any other product, service, or business.

4. Beta Program

VaultedTCG is currently distributed as a beta release through Apple’s TestFlight platform. You acknowledge and agree that:

• The App is provided in a pre-release state and may contain bugs, errors, or instability.
• Features may be added, changed, removed, or break without notice.
• You are responsible for backing up your own data using the built-in CSV export feature. Loss of data due to bugs, device failure, or app removal is your responsibility.
• Apple TestFlight may automatically collect crash reports and feedback you submit; this is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
• Beta access may be terminated at any time without notice.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of any data you enter into the App, including cost basis, sale prices, fees, and inventory information.
• Any decisions you make based on data displayed by the App. The App is a recordkeeping and analytical tool — it is not a substitute for professional accounting, tax, or business advice.
• Backing up your data regularly via CSV export.
• Complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including tax reporting obligations related to your card sales.
• The security of your iPhone and any data stored on it.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose or in violation of any law or regulation;
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its underlying systems, or other users’ devices;
• Use the App to track or facilitate the sale of counterfeit, stolen, or otherwise illicit goods;
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) to interact with the App or its supporting services;
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App.

7. Your Data

All inventory data, sales records, photos, and notes you enter into VaultedTCG are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit, collect, or store this data on any external server. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

You retain all ownership rights to the data you enter into the App. You grant no license to VaultedTCG over your data because the App does not have access to it beyond your local device, except where you explicitly invoke a feature that requires sending a single image or query to a third-party service (e.g. card-image recognition, market price lookup).

8. Card Catalog Data

The App displays a catalog of trading card metadata (card names, numbers, sets, rarities, types, images, market prices, and graded comp values) for games including Pokémon TCG, One Piece TCG, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, Gundam Card Game, Riftbound, Digimon, and Flesh and Blood, in English and Japanese. This catalog is provided for reference only — to help you identify and record cards in your personal inventory and assess approximate market value — and may not always be complete, current, or accurate. The catalog is not a substitute for the official rule text, set lists, or product information published by the game publishers.

9. Camera Scanning and Photo Recognition

The App includes features that use your device camera to capture images of physical cards and submit those images to a third-party recognition service (Scrydex, scrydex.com) for the sole purpose of identifying the card and prefilling inventory fields.

• You are responsible for the legality of any image you capture, including the right to photograph the card in your possession.
• You may not use the scanning feature to facilitate infringement of any third party’s intellectual property rights.
• Card images captured for scanning are transmitted to the recognition provider as part of the identification request and handled according to that provider’s terms and privacy policy. We do not retain scanned images on our own servers.
• Identification results, including any card grade, grader, or certificate-number information returned by the service, are provided “as is” with no guarantee of accuracy. You are responsible for verifying any auto-filled data before relying on it for pricing, sales, or business decisions.
• Camera-scanning features may be modified, throttled, or discontinued at any time without notice.

10. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services for card identification, pricing data, and catalog enrichment. Examples include but are not limited to Scrydex, TCGplayer, eBay, Apple TestFlight, and Supabase. Each of these services has its own terms of service and privacy policy. By using a feature of the App that depends on a third-party service, you also agree to that service’s terms.

Data returned by third-party services — including but not limited to card names, pricing, condition assessments, market values, and grading information — is provided to you on an “as is” basis. VaultedTCG does not control, audit, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of such data, and is not liable for losses arising from your reliance on it.

11. Subscriptions and Paid Features

The App may offer paid subscriptions, in-app purchases, or premium features either now or in the future. If you purchase such a feature:

• All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s billing terms.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, per Apple’s standard terms. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iPhone’s Settings → [Your Apple ID] → Subscriptions.
• Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple. We do not have the ability to issue refunds directly. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, request it through reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Feature availability for paid users may change over time. We will not remove a paid feature mid-billing-period without providing a comparable replacement or a prorated refund where required by law.

12. User Submissions and Content

Today, the App stores all inventory data, photos, and notes locally on your device. If we later introduce optional cloud sync, accounts, social features, or any ability to publish content (such as a shared portfolio or marketplace listing), the following applies to any content you submit to such features (“User Submissions”):

• You retain ownership of your User Submissions, but you grant VaultedTCG a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, transferable license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Submissions solely for the purpose of operating the relevant feature.
• You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit such content and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights.
• You will not submit illegal content, content that infringes intellectual property, content involving minors in any harmful manner, or content used to facilitate the sale of counterfeit or stolen goods.
• We may remove User Submissions at any time, at our sole discretion, with or without notice, including content that we believe violates these Terms.

13. Account Creation and Deletion (Future Features)

The App does not currently require an account. If we add account features in the future:

• You will be responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity occurring under your account.
• You will be able to delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account). Account deletion will remove your personal data from our servers within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.
• If your account remains inactive for an extended period, we may delete it after providing advance notice by email.

14. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, source code, graphics, logos (including the VaultedTCG name and logo), and original documentation, is owned by the Proprietor and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The VaultedTCG name and logo are common-law trademarks of the Proprietor as set out in the Trademark Notice above.

Card names, set names, game titles, and related trademarks — including but not limited to Pokémon, One Piece, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lorcana, Gundam Card Game, Riftbound, Digimon, and Flesh and Blood — are the property of their respective owners. VaultedTCG is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with any of these trading card game publishers (including The Pokémon Company International, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., Bandai, Wizards of the Coast, Konami, Disney, or any of their subsidiaries).

You may not modify, remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice that appears in the App.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP, ITS CATALOG DATA, IDENTIFICATION RESULTS, AND ANY ANALYSIS OR ANALYTICS IT PRODUCES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. VAULTEDTCG DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE FROM HARMFUL COMPONENTS. ANY DATA ANALYSIS, PROFIT CALCULATIONS, MARGIN ESTIMATES, OR CARD VALUATIONS PRODUCED OR DISPLAYED BY THE APP ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND ARE NOT FINANCIAL, ACCOUNTING, TAX, OR INVESTMENT ADVICE.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL VAULTEDTCG, ITS DEVELOPERS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST SALES, LOST GOODWILL, MISIDENTIFIED CARDS, MISSTATED VALUATIONS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VAULTEDTCG IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VaultedTCG and its developers, officers, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the App; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right (including intellectual property and privacy rights); (d) the accuracy, content, or legality of any data you enter into or capture with the App; or (e) any User Submissions you provide.

18. Termination

These Terms remain in effect until terminated. You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. VaultedTCG may suspend or terminate your access to the App or any feature of it, including TestFlight beta access, at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. On termination, the license granted in Section 3 ends immediately. The disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, intellectual property, and dispute-resolution provisions of these Terms survive termination.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective” and “Last updated” dates at the top of this page reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated to active users through the App, TestFlight notes, email, or this page when feasible.

20. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. You and VaultedTCG agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting support@vaultedtcg.io first. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 60 days, it shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts of competent jurisdiction located within the State of New Jersey, and you and VaultedTCG consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

21. Apple-Specific Terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and VaultedTCG only, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligations whatsoever, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform are the responsibility of VaultedTCG. Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

22. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

23. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VaultedTCG regarding the App, and supersede any prior agreements.
